What is a malocclusion?

Malocclusion is when mismatched teeth and jaw cause a person’s bite to need correction. Malocclusions are very common, and treatment will affect overall oral hygiene, reduced risk of tooth decay, and reduced risk of TMJ.

Do braces hurt?

This is one of the questions most asked by patients about to undergo orthodontic treatment. During the placement, there will be no pain or discomfort, but in the following days you may experience some tenderness or discomfort. After each tightening, you may experience this discomfort. During the times of discomfort, it may be difficult to chew hard foods.
